We may also disclose your data where required by law, court order, or regulation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Relocation Serbia or others.
6. Tracking technologies and the Meta Pixel
Our website uses the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel), a tracking technology operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Meta Pixel collects data about your activity on our website — including pages visited, time spent, and actions taken — and sends this information to Meta. This data is used to:
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram
- Enable us to show relevant advertisements to people who have visited our website (retargeting)
- Build audience profiles for advertising purposes
The Meta Pixel may link your on-site behaviour to your Facebook profile if you are logged into Facebook. This constitutes processing of personal data as defined under GDPR.
The Meta Pixel is a non-essential cookie and is only activated where you have provided consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or by opting out of Meta's data collection through your Facebook account settings at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
For full details of all cookies and tracking technologies used on this website, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:
| Data type | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Enquiry and communication records | 3 years from last contact, unless a service relationship exists |
| Service client records | 7 years from completion of service — to meet accounting and legal obligations |
| Booking records (TidyCal) | As per TidyCal's data retention policy, minimum 2 years |
| Website analytics and cookie data | Up to 13 months, as determined by the relevant tracking platform |
| Marketing consent records | Until you withdraw consent, then archived for 3 years as evidence of consent |
After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR and applicable Serbian data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Right to restriction: You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@relocationserbia.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. For EU residents, this is the data protection authority in your country of residence. For residents in Serbia, this is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs).
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include secure HTTPS transmission, access controls, and regular review of our data handling practices.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we take data security seriously and work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, affected individuals within the timeframes required by law.
10. International data transfers
Some of our third-party processors — including Meta Platforms (USA) and TidyCal — are located outside the European Economic Area. When we transfer your data to these processors, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or reliance on the processor's applicable certification under recognised transfer mechanisms.
11. Children's data
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at support@relocationserbia.com and we will delete it promptly.
Where relocation services involve minor children as part of a family engagement, personal data relating to those children is processed solely for the purpose of delivering the requested service and is handled with additional care.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Where changes are material, we will notify active clients directly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
